Yoohoo~! How have you guys been? The year is drawing to a close, and it’s that time of the year for feasting festivities and also annual gatherings. There’s no better time than now to put your best face forward (I mean, there’s gonna be tonnes of selfies taken for sure). In fact, I’ve even got a JC gathering planned, and it’s been a good 10-15 years since we’ve hung out together proper.
Now I know I’m no spring chicken anymore, and I’m cool with that. That said, there’s nothing wrong with staving off signs of ageing such as the loss of radiance, less plumped and firm skin, and the resultant dull skin, and this is something you need to start when young. I’ve never been one for invasive treatments (no fillers, no surgery, no thank you ma’am), and have always gravitated towards skincare instead, so this time round, I’ve been giving Eucerin®’s skincare products a go, as their products have been said to be a non-invasive alternative to achieving radiant and plump skin.
DID YOU KNOW?
With more than 130 years of skin science and skin aging knowledge, Eucerin® is a dermatological brand for sensitive skin, and is one of the leading dermo-cosmetic brands in America and Europe.
Touted to help with anti-ageing concerns, the full Hyaluron-Filler range comprises Day Cream with SPF 15, Night Cream, Overnight Treatment, Eye Cream with SPF 15, and Concentrate.
Since I’m strapped for time on a daily basis (juggling a full-time job and blogging ain’t easy), my eyes honed right in on the new Hyaluron-Filler Overnight Treatment which was just launched last month. It’s the brand’s first ever 2-in-1 moisturiser that contains AHA and hyaluronic acid, and will restore your face’s natural radiance and help you achieve wrinkle-free skin. Excited mucho!
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
The Hyaluron-Filler Overnight Treatment comes in a dual-chambered packaging containing two ingredients. A single pump freshly activates and dispenses an ideal balance of AHA Complex and Hyaluronic Acid for more efficacious skincare benefits:
- Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) Complex & Saponin: Gently exfoliates dead skin cells and promotes skin cell renewal, bringing back the skin’s natural radiance.
- Hyaluronic Acid (HA): This gel serum contains large HA molecules to retain moisture, and low-weight HA molecules which are 40x smaller, to penetrate deeper into the skin and plump up even the deepest wrinkles.
Inspired by the most effective dermatological in-office treatments for cell renewal and wrinkle filling, results from studies of this product have shown more than 95% satisfaction (from the 150 ladies who did a trial test of the product) in terms of refining skin’s texture and achieving radiant skin after just one week of usage. The product is also dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive skin.
Eucerin® Hyaluron-Filler Overnight Treatment (30ml): SGD $84.90
An equal (and easy) distribution of AHA in a creamy emulsion and HA in a gel serum with just one pump
My thoughts: I used this every night before my cream moisturiser (aka in the serum step). It’s easily absorbed, leaves no tacky/greasy afterfeel, and gives the skin an instant boost of hydration – I kid you not. My skin felt an immediate increase in plumpness and firmness, and was instantly soothed. The recommended method was to use this + Concentrate + Night Cream and then Eye cream, but on days when I was too exhausted to go through the multi steps, I found that using this alone also helped my skin look radiant the next day. I love that it’s suitable for use in humid climates like Singapore’s (without feeling too heavy on the skin), and yet hydrating and efficient enough to keep the skin hydrated in drier airconditioned interiors. After just a few weeks of usage, I saw improvement in the skin in the form of radiance, clarity and firmness. One point to take note of – due to its AHA ingredient, you should only use this product at night to avoid pigmentation issues.
Eucerin® Hyaluron-Filler Eye Treatment (15ml): SGD $59.90
My thoughts: I love the tube product packaging and the nozzle, which allows me to squeeze out the product comfortably, and yet not have it all gush out (due to the constriction by the nozzle). The eye cream itself is creamy and yet lightweight, which means it’s spread and absorbed easily into the skin. What’s more, it has SPF15, which means it’s also ideal for daytime application (and the resultant skincare protection).
Eucerin® Hyaluron-Filler Concentrate (6 x 5ml): SGD $69.00
My thoughts: Lightweight, easily absorbed, refreshes the skin. The individual mini capsules also make the product a perfect and convenient travel companion, especially when I’m heading to dry wintery countries (or even for some skin pampering aboard the plane).
Eucerin® Hyaluron-Filler Day Cream (50ml): SGD $61.90
My thoughts: I was initially apprehensive that this would leave a white cast on the skin, but yay, it didn’t! The cream absorbed easily into the skin and left it prepped and ready for makeup application (since it didn’t feel greasy or sticky after). I always love a day moisturiser that comes with sunscreen qualities (because hey, one can never be too careful when it comes to sun protection, right?).
Eucerin® Hyaluron-Filler Night Cream (50ml): SGD $61.90
My thoughts: Nourishing, is slightly thicker in consistency as compared with the rest of the range, but isn’t too cloying. Best for night-time usage, or in drier climates (airconditioned interiors, wintery countries).
