Swatches: MAC x Chris Chang Lipsticks

I’ve always associated MAC with all things black, so I (and all other beauty junkies in the world assumably) love it when their special limited editions / collaborations come in other colours of the rainbow. This is especially true for the MAC x Chris Chang collection which literally comes in all shades of the rainbow, as inspired by Chinese opera. There are five lipstick shades for this collection (among other products).

First impressions: Gold Xixi and Cloud Gait are the two stand-outs for sure – they’re both moisturising and glossy, while Plum Princess, DDDevilish and Vermillion Vee are matte and more intense in terms of colour pigments. When it comes to wearability… well, it’s pretty clear that those to the left, to the left will probably be more suitable for events/dress-up occasions and halloween. Plum Princess may also require an occasion, while DDDevilish and Vermillion Vee are to die for – I’m loving the bright pink and chilli red! MAC lipsticks in general never disappoint, so it really just boils down to what colour you’re having the mood for. 😀
