Coming from a Mass communication background and a career that mostly spans journalism / publishing / magazines, I think I can safely call myself a Channel 5 girl (vs Channel 8, which is a predominantly Mandarin-speaking channel). Although I love languages, I find myself more inclined towards the English language. And this is why although I’d heard of Kevin 老师 (of Taiwanese beauty program 女人我最大 fame + I’d only met him once during the Etude House Press Conference where he did makeup for Sulli [f(x)]), I had a bare minimum knowledge of his skills.
This time however, since it was a more intimate session, I actually was exposed to the full power of his awesomeness. Fangirl mode on!
Use the stick tool, look straight ahead, and gently “draw” the line where you want your double eyelid to be at. This will require a few rounds. Soon you’ll find that the double eyelid crease has formed [click to enlarge].
Next, apply the double eyelid tape onto the crease line, and voila, you haz double eyelids!
Alternatively, you can use the wick. This solid black strip doubles up as an eyeliner (yes, you don’t have to draw eyeliner if you use this), and also acts as a base on which you can stick your false eyelashes on. Like woahhhh. awesome right?!
If you have single eyelids and want to create double parallel eyelids :
- Medical Fibre 2 (orange box) [higher difficulty]
- Double Eye Tape (green box) [lower difficulty]
If you have some undefined creases and want to make them more defined or if you have double eyelids but want to make them deeper:
- Single Eye Tape (yellow box)
- Natural Eye Tape (brown box).
I’ll be reviewing the eyelid tapes in due time, but meanwhile, for those who are already using these, here’s something to play with.
For people who are already using double eyelid tapes or accessories, AB would like you to do a before and after shot (complete the look with makeup) and tag #absingapore on your instagram. You can also refer to their Facebook for more information.
Have fun! 😀
