I’ve never been one to place emphasis on my lips, choosing instead to focus on my eye makeup instead. However, after the launch and experience with the Dior Addict Fluid Stick last week, I’m a lippie convert. Smoochie coochies anyone?
Food and refreshments that are too pretty to eat – seriously, a bunch of us just stood around taking photos without actually taking the food.
Spotted at the counter – a glimpse of what was to come…
… omg I’m in Dior heaven. Aren’t these the prettiest?
Dior Addict Fluid Stick, SGD$47 each, comes in an eye-popping 16 shades to suit every skintone, but ballocks to that, I want them alllll.
Dior Vernis Couture Colour Gel Shine and Long Wear Nail Lacquer, SGD$38 each, comes in 24 shades. I’ve tried it out, and hooo momma – the colour is crazy intense, and the shine is really gel-nail worthy. I don’t even need a top coat to get a smooth shiny finish. What’s more, it has a super awesome curved-side bristle applicator brush that it fits the curvature of your nail cuticles perfectly. (Review coming soon!)
The Dior Addict Fluid Stick is not a lipstick nor lip gloss, instead, the first all-in-one lip hybrid by the brand, meaning it gives maximum colour impact, glossy shine and no-makeup feel. It does not contain any wax – instead, it has a water formulation.
Senior Backstage Artist Han taking the stage to show us how the pros do it. To most of us, it might come across as a simple lip colour application, but the amount of precision and detail that goes into it – woah. effort max.
The exclusive foam applicator is shaped like the stick of a lipstick. It has a broad centre portion (to scoop up an appropriate amount of colour and to sufficiently cover the surface area of the lips) and a tapered end (for precise application at the corners and sides).
Before, and after: I know it’s also the lighting, but somehow, she really does look more washed out without a bold bright lippie colour
Superbly glossy, high-shine and vibrant coloured lips – me likey.
The 4 must-have colours for the Dior Addict Fluid Stick are: (from L-R) 338 Mirage (a nude pink shade), 551 Aventure (a coral red) , 575 Wonderland (a pinker red), and 872 Pandore (a redder red).
Swatching the 4 must-have colours: 872 Pandore (a redder red), 575 Wonderland (a pinker red), 551 (a coral red) and 338 Mirage (a nude pink shade). The colours are crazy pigmented, with maximum shine, and when applied, doesn’t have that heavy feel on the lips.
Some of the crazy photo fun we had at the event – the colours aren’t very visible, so just wait for my Fluid Stick Review that’ll come up soon I promiseeeee.
